How to display jpeg files/pictures in full screen mode in a 47" LG plasma TV
I have a 47" LG plasma TV. I want to see jpeg files in full screen mode (I want the whole screen to be filled with my files/pictures.) I now see my pictures centered in the middle with two black areas on each side. The top and the bottom is full and fine. The problem is around at the side (horizontal settings).

I will not have a computer nor a cd/DVD player while displaying the files/pictures. I do have a computer that I can use to play with the jpeg files prior to displaying them on the TV.

Sounds like the TV is maintaining the aspect ratio of the picture, which is completely normal.

If it stretched the picture to fit it would become distorted.

I don't know but I would be glad for the sides being black because the aspect ratio would be way off - I think that is the term. Your TV is wide and short. Pics would be stretched out side to side.
