Only got cold water running in kitchen
This morning I had no water running at all - from heating the pipe under the kitchen sink I now have cold water running in the kitchen but no hot and no water running anywhere else in the house - what do I do?

    Frozen pipes... right?

If so, you need to turn the heat up in your house... say to 75 degrees or more to start.

Open all vanity cabinets and the kitchen cabinet and then start thawing pipes using a hair dryer.

The trick to thawing pipes is to leave the faucets that you are working on OPEN so water has somewhere to go when it starts to unfreeze. Without this "escape" point, water just keeps refreezing and pipes won't thaw out... ;)

If you have access to pipes from underneath in a basement I would start thawing dow there where the pipes are closest to an outside wall.

Give this a shot... let me know how you make out, OK?

Thanks, Have had heating on all day and opened taps but apart from cold water now coming into kitchen tap nothing else seems to be moving. Am a little worried about it now.

You can also use a heat gun or hair dryer on the pipes. If the basement is accessible try using a space heater but do not use a propane torch.
