    Can I get the fathers name off my birth certificate when he adopted me?
    Can I remove the fathers name on my B/C? I am 25 and my step dad did a legal adoption on me when I was 5 years old. This man NEVER was was a father to me and I hate seeing his name on my B/C. He is not married to my mom anymore and I never see him. My biological dad is also not in the picture. Can this be done?

    When you were adopted a new birth certificate should have been issued.

    The new birth certificate was issued in 1991 I don't have any of my adoption papers but I know the adoption was done around that same time
