You need to give more details. You can modify your registry by holding your Windows Key + r, which brings up the run prompt, and typing "regedit".

NOTE: Modifying the registry is not recommended, and should be avoided unless you are sure of the changes you're making.

You purchase the software and that is when you get a number for it.
