    Insurance fraud induced crash
I have been a victim of a "crash for cash" scam. Another driver hit my car on the passenger side while I was using a roundabout. At first, it seems like a genuine accident where he failed to give way to me. However, the damages that he alleges were done in the accident such as a broken indicator cover etc never happened. He's lied and said that he was using the roundabout and I cut across the roundabout causing the collision. I suspect that the other driver has previous damages on his car and then hit my car and wants my insurance company to pay for it. He's a con artist but my insurance company are not smart enough to realise this.

Any advice on what or who I can contact to gain the evidence I need to prove he is lying? So far I have contacted an independent crash scene investigator but he says that its difficult to see who's right and it would need to be a 50:50 settlement. This guy is attempting to get away with insurance fraud plus committing a serious driving offence by deliberately hitting my car. I really don't want him to get away with this crime.

    Thanks
