If told by the meat seller that the meat sold is halal, can we consume it or should we investigate furthur?

I was told by a holder of Islamic Degree from Medina University it is not required to research. And if the seller is a muslim of whom you know no deciet or evil, then it`s even Haram to doubt him, if you read Surah Al-Hujuraat.
