    Replacing Wedge Lok Seal
I've got a leak in a shower pan and have narrowed it down to a Wedge Lok Seal. The local plumbing supply center gave me one, which was nice, but they couldn't offer much advice on removing the old one and installing the new one. Anyone done this before?

Wedge-Loc Integral Shower Drains are simple in design,(see image). To replace simply pry the old gasket out and coat the new gasket and raiser with dish detergent to make it slip on easier. Good luck, Tom

Just replaced the seal and it still leaks. The old seal was definitely leaking as it had soap scum down the whole seal. The new seal was a little shorter than the old one. The PVC pipe pushed down some when I installed the new seal. Could that be the problem or should I be looking at something else?

I would be looking for a crack or split in the drain body itself. If the new seal leaks then something else is wrong. Good luck, Tom
