Can I sue the furniture store that refund my money with a bad check?
About 7 months ago I went to a furniture store to purchase my unborn baby two nightstands and dresser it was going to be 250 dollars, I pay up front 150$ and when deliver I was going to gine them the remaining $100, they came in to deliver the furniture when I was at the hospital, however it was in really bad condition (I don't know why would they even consider anyone taking in furniture that was totally damage) since my husband was home he told them to take it back that I was going to be very unhappy if I saw that bad furniture that they had brought for my newborn's nursery. When I came home home I saw one of the nightstand and I saw it was hideous so I call the furniture place and told the owner I didn't want it, he said no problem that I had two choices get my money back or wait 2 weeks for the new furniture, I decided to wait, two weeks later I go and nothing,a week later I go again and the owners mom was there a very, very rude lady, I told her the situation and she didn't care, it takes me a lot to explde but I did and I demanded my money, she said come back next week, so I did, she was there I ask for the owner and they told me he wasn't there, I went back 3 days later and told the old lady I wanted to talk to the owner and she said NO, then my brother and mother went to talk to them since I was so upset and they promise to give me back my money in two weeks they went back and ones again nothing, so 8 months since I placed the order and the asking for a refund, the old lady gives my brother a check that said refund with the amount of 150$ I go cash it 4 days later and my bank WELLS FARGO bank saids the account where the check comes from has no founds to clear the check, I was so mad that I call my brother and told him, he went to the furniture place and told them and she said you have to go to a WICHOVIA bank that they would cash the check, when wellsfargo owns wichovia, I am so tired of all this driving asking for my money to go somewhere else, can I sue her for my money and a compensation of all this stress and lies?
