Me and my Olivia are in Band together and there's this kid named Jacob. He likes me and I don't like him like that. Me, Olivia and him went to the River museum together and had fun and he always texts me but I see it has friends but he thinks that I like him back and I don't. He wants me to ask him to winter formal(girlz ask guyz) but Im not but he stilll might as me to dance. How do I tell him I just want to be friends when he thinks I like him anyway. I Need help

You could either tell him in person, or use the holiday season to send him a card that says, "I'm glad you're my friend...happy holidays!"

Then, if you have someone in mind, ask that person to the formal. Once there, if your date doesn't mind, you can dance once with Jacob. Between telling him you are glad he is your friend, and asking someone else to the dance, he should get the message that you like him as a friend and aren't interested in dating him.

Just tell him that straight forward what you think if it is the case

What about having your friend Olivia tell him that you don't want to hurt his feelings, and how much you appreciate him as a friend, but that you don't feel anymore then those type of feelings. That you will be asking someone else to Winter Dance.
