I lie a lot

Think before you speak! And simply do not lie! If you're coming out with a hurtful truth, think of a way to soften your words, and tell the person to listen until you're done. Think about this way, you might be afraid to the truth will hurt, but when they find out you lied, not only will they have to deal with that truth, but the fact that you were deceitful to them, which hurts even more..

Another thing to consider is have integrity in your actions! Always do what is right, and you won't have to worry about telling someone you messed up! (and if you do, then they can see why and they probably won't be mad)

What sort of things do you lie about and why?

Do you exaggerate to make yourself sound more impressive than you are?
Do you avoid admitting to things you have done wrong because you don't like facing the fall out?
Do you tell people what they want to hear?
Do you tell lies about other people to make them look bad?
Other reasons?


The first step is to recognise the situations where you lie and try and work out why you do so.

Agree with QLP, you have tp break this isue right down to overcome the fundamental reason why you feel the need to lie.
