It's not too late to want to try to pursue both, but eventually, you might have to decide on one as a career. Unless you have a career change at some point in time.

I suggest that if you have such a high level of interest in both subject matters, then even if you work in one field, then try to keep up with the latest of the other field. That way, it would be easier for you to switch, if you had a mid-life career change.

Furthermore, if you do pursue both at the same time, I think it might be best for you to have your computer science job during the day and sound engineering at nights and on weekends. Would that be possible?

Music these days and more so in the future will be computers too.
You could learn about the sound engineering side (speakers, airwave transmission, cable etc), or the database side (access and search of all music by genre, title, lyrics, and even notes).
I like the idea of humming a tune at my computer or phone and you find me what I'm looking for.

Asking the question which career makes more money depends on multiple things. What specific job title, degrees, certs, location, company, etc...

You should never choose a career over another for financial purposes. But, since you love both of these jobs its not that bad of a question. Using salary.com will give you an idea of income averages for job titles for locations specific to wher eyou live or plan on living. Again, this isn't concrete and there are many variables when dealing with income, sa I've stated above. Of course, a mjority of jobs; both in sound engineering and computer science fields, will also depend on experience. Starting lower and working your way up.

So, I ask you again. What specific in Computer Science interests you? The varieties range and the certs and degrees range. I myself have my degree in Computer Science with a focus in Networking. I could have gone Network Security, porogramming, engineering etc...

That's going to depend on how successful you are at either job.

I think that by pursuing both options at the same time will allow you to discover which one you're actually more of a pro at. Once you've discovered that, it might be wise to focus on that option more so that you can be successful in that pursuit. While keeping the other option more as a hobby on the side rather than your career path.
