If she's really so caught up with something like that, you need to confront her. But don't just grab her and say, "Hey, you need to stop." Trade #'s and invite her out to the mall or for some food. Make small talk and slowly bring up the topic of your friend. Now, there's a fine line from being pushy to being kind. Try not to cross that line. Be kind. If she doesn't offer up any information on why she's so against it, its time to push it a little more. Ask what she thinks. Offer your opinion. If she refuses still to explain a little more deeply why she's so upset, hang out with her a little more. Don't dwell on the subject when your hanging out though. Have a little fun - but when you find time, ask her why. You have to be careful though, don't upset her. Good luck.
