Hi there I got a 5 year old water heater and I just found out that I have to drain it once a year or once a month so I recently drained my water heater and I have a small leak at d drain valve what are my next steps to take? Do I need to do d same steps as to drain d tank all d way down? Please help me out on this situation thanks

Actually you don't drain it you flush it. Leave the incoming water fully on and then attach your drain hose and open the valve. If the drain valve leaks after closing it then open and close it several time to clear the gasket but if that doesn't help you have a cheap easy option. Go to the hardware store and get a hose end cap, little brass cap for a buck and it will seal your drip

Exactly where's the boiler drain leaking from? The spout, in which case follow Bobs advice or replace the valve or is it leaking past the stem? In which case you would simply snug up the bonnet packing nut. Good luck, Tom
