    Hair Care
I have black hair and I wanted to go and get a blond highlight kit and do my hair. After I have blond high lights I wanted to go over that with a red hair dye I have. I'm just wondering if this is a OK thing to do and if it will stay.

Obviously, the best bet is to have it done by a pro. But if your going to do it yourself, follow directions. Do not leave the chemicals in your hair too long. And TAKE care of it afterwards. You want to condition it.

I do not think you will have too many issues. Seek advice from a pro if needed (hopefully someone will respond).

I've bleached and dyed my hair a lot. Never had any issues.

Yeah that works, I too am naturally dark haired and did this, are you wanting to dye all your hair red afterwards, this is what I did so had 2 different colour reds in my hair. It will fade every time you wash it though

I have light brown hair with blonde highlights and it worked fine. Since you have black hair the blonde might not show up unless you go to a stylist because you don't want to over dye your hair and cause damage. Then if you go over the blonde with red it would depend how dark the hair dye was or how light. If you want you could wait a little before you put in the red so you don't cause dry ruff hair. Otherwise goodluck! :)P.S. You might could try some color stay shampoo from kroger or cvs or somewhere like that.
