Hi all. I am 7 weeks pregnant with my second child and I have now been bleeding for 5 of those 7 weeks. I have been seeing my ob for a few weeks now and he says its just a waiting game at the moment as everything about the baby looks normal so far (except for the bleeding). My ultrasound last week was good as I saw my babies heartbeat but I'm still stressing as I know its not normal to be bleeding for this long. My doc did check my cervix and the bleeding isn't coming from there. It's not just spotting, It's like a lite period that I've had for 5 weeks, with clotting here and there. Has anyone experienced this before or know of anyone that has had this. If so did you go on to have a healthy baby or did you end up losing bubs. Hopefully someone can put my mind at ease. Its normal. Your OK. Eventually it will stop. Don't stress. Mine is doing the same thing.

Bleeding in early pregnancy can be quite normal for some women. Many times it is caused by the placement of the placenta.

Yet other times it is a sign of a threatened miscarriage.

Always follow your doctor's orders.
