    Shower without true drain possible?
I would like to put a tiny corner shower stall in a bathroom which currently only has a sink and a toilet. There is no drain where I want to put the shower. Do I have to break up the concrete and put a drain in the floor and then run pipes over to the toilet or sink drain, or is there any way I can build up the shower 6 or 8 inches and then run the pipes along the floor to the drain? Thanks for any help or advice.

Now you got me confused, In your first part you said you had no drain and in your last part you mention having a drain. Is this a basement installation near a floor drain. If that's the case then you can platform the shower base and terminate the drain pipe a few inches over the floor drain for a indirect waste. Non trap and no vent! I can also walk you through going under the slab but platforming would be the easiest, Good luck, Tom

Thanks Tom. No drain, no basement, just toilet and sink. My idea comes from looking at the simplicity of washing machine hose loosely fitted into a pipe. Could I do similar to the sink drain? Could I make a Y connection behind wall near floor?

    Sorry cbrew,
But your shower mist have a trap and be vented.
What you can do is wye off the sink drain line under the floor and install a trap and raiser to pick up the shower. Your new shower will be wet vented by the sink so you won't have to run a vent. Good luck, Tom
