What is causing sewer back-up in my basement?
I washed a load of laundry early in the morning then later in the day I found water on the floor. It was only about a 2 foot radius area around the drain near the laundry tub. I have 2 drains in the basement the one on the other side had nothing around it. It is definitely sewege and not washer water. I flushed my toilet and ran my tub for awhile and nothing happened. I did here the sump-pump running a couple of times (don't know if that means anything ). It did rain a lot yesterday and then ice and snow today (don't know if cold pipes affect anything). I also poured water down the drain and the level didn't rise. I have only bben in this house for a year and this is a first. Any help would be appreciated.

Can't get the clean out plug out... tried all the tricks except cutting. We reduced certain water usage no problem for 2 1/2 months. All of a sudden its happening again.I know for a fact now that it is happening every time the sump pump runs. The longer it runs the more water backs up, Which is happening a lot with snow melting and now rain.Any help would be appreciated.
