    Unprotected sex and pregnancy
Hi, I am 22 year female.I had unprotected sex on 4th dec, 2010. And had taken I pill, within 6 hours. My previous period was on 14 nov and current period is late by one day. Does it mean that I'm pregnant. What sud I do. I'm desperate. I have started smoking to prevent it somehow. *** help

    First, smoking doesn't prevent pregnancy.

Second, if you're referring to the morning after pill, that pill can mess up your cycle.

Can you still be pregnant even though you took the morning after pill? Yes. It's not 100% effective.

Too soon to worry, and too soon to test. Give your body a chance to bounce back and get back on track. If you're concerned you can try taking a pregnancy test in a week or two. Make sure to use first morning urine, it's more accurate.

I don't know about my mornin after pill. Its an emergency contraceptive that needs to be taken, within 24 hours. Also does stress have to do anything to the cycle. I could not sleep for past 2 days because of this

Yes, stress can indeed mess up your period.

Smoking will not prevent a pregnancy, it only cause low birth weight.

It doesn't necessarily mean your pregnant if you miss your period by one day. If you miss it by five days at least then when you take a pregnancy test it will be more accurate. Also, are you sure you're 22, the majority or teenagers know what's damaging for a baby and know not to have un-safe sex...
