Ok, so I'm going out with a girl, and I'm really happy, she seems to like me, as she is herself around me.
But when she is with her friends, she seems different, she told me it's because she's shy, and I'm the first proper boyfriend she's had, that's OK, but she wants to stop seeing me because she thinks it's not working.

I want to see her more, we go to the same college, but we've only been together for a week or so.

What should I do? Should I convince her to give it a few more days, or should I let her think, meaning we break up.

Hi Martin!

Since you've only been seeing her for a "week or so" then I would say that you wouldn't be "breaking up".:rolleyes: There was no commitment there being such a short lived relationship.

I say just let her be. If she doesn't feel that there is anything "emotionally" there then you won't be able to change her mind.

Write if off as a good time and continue to date!:cool:

I think you should tell her off or talk to her friends but be nice... if she really likes you... she will at least talk to her friends of how she feel about you and if it doesn't work

Martin I'm sorry to say this but I think she is not herself around you but around her friends. I think she's trying politely to let you down easy. I think you became to attached to quick.

She's using the shy excuse to pull away from you. She told you that she wants to stop so respect her wishes.

I think she's already made up her mind. She's just not interested. No harm. Some people invest years into relationships before they find this out. You only invested a week.

I think the worst thing you could do is try to hold on to her... You have to except how she feels... this has happened to me many many times... and it makes it worse to try to convince or force them to stay... Show her that she's not a big deal... act like its okay and fine if you're not together... tell her... you feel the same way and think that you're better as friends... That way at least you can still hang out without any pressure or discomfort to her... just never act like a little sad puppy with your tongue hanging out over her... ) girls don't like that... sorry it stinks but... (its called a challenge... (everybody wants a little challenge... ) always... hold your head up high... who knows the different way that she acts around her friends is probably her true self... you might have been spared from the things you really do not want... This is your time to start to be strong... (girls like strong guys... Tell yourself there's other fish in the sea... this attitude will get you further than sitting around sulking over the wrong girl... (P.S... and the wrong girl is a girl who's not into YOU!!

Ok, things have moved on, we thought it was exam pressure, so we kind of split for that length of time, then we got back together. Great, everything is finally working out. But. Two days after we got back together, I asked her how she felt about us, she said she feels nothing. I asked when she started feeling this, she said the other day, the day after we got back together. You cannot understand my feelings by this, and I honestly cannot describe them.
She feels being friends will be easier for now, she wanted a boyfriend, but she is not ready.
We are now friends.

But, I have another one for you.
Before this girlfriend I was dating another girl, we got incredibly friendly, and I find her to be 'the one', she feels the same.
I asked her to marry me, she said yes, we were engaged for two weeks, her parents did not know, the decided to move back to Middlesbrough (by this I mean they came from there to where I live) So we had to call it off, we spoke to no one about our engagement.
Shortly after her movement, we decided to try again, her parents did not know. Then something's happened to make us call it off, again.
I believe this girl is 'the one'.

I recently had a birthday, and she asked for my address to send me a card, I gave it to her without question, her birthday is coming up, I want to send her a card, she will not give me her address.
Should I try to get it out of her subtley? I mean inquire her street name, then look it up on records? Or just not bother. Because I know, when girls say they want nothing, they truly want whatever it is you are giving them.

I can assure you guys, she has very strong feelings for me. I know this for a fact, we became intimate within weeks of seeing each other.
