    Protons and neutrons
How many protons and neutrons are present in the plutonium-238 nucleus?

Plutonium-238 is an isotope. Plutonium has atomic number 94, meaning there are 94 protons. 238 is the atomic weight. Since protons and neutrons have an atomic weight of 1, you just subtract 94 from 238 to find the number of neutrons: 144. You could also search it on Google and I'm willing to bet you'll find some answers.
