    installing a custom shower stall
Hi all, I ripped out an old shower stall from the basement of my house. I am left with a drain location of 18 x 18 inches from the corner. I would like to install a custom shower area that would be larger then the 36 x 36 shower I had. I cannot find a shower pan that is 48 x 36 to 42 inches with a drain at 18 x 18. I have decided to try and build my own. My question is where to start. The bathroom is on a cement slab, the drain is there, I can build the surround, but I don't know if I can just tile the cement floor or if I need to do some prep. Please help

A small jackhammer will cut out the concrete so you can reposition the drain, then simply hand mix some concrete and fill it back in... good luck
