    My baby brother and sister went at the age of 2. it's good to send them to a place around your workplace so you can take them and pick them up at the start and end of work. I'm only 11 but I hope my advice helped.

    Some programs start at 3 (as of December 1st). They often are run for 1/2 days. Others have programs for 2 year olds. These are often shorter in duration, but still offer the chance for socialization

    Pre school is a matter of opinion, if you have a non working family member at home, there is really no need, since full education can be done there if you work with your child, even advancing that of preschool.
    And you can get invovled in play groups with others that gives adult socialization also.

    If it is a matter of "baby sitting" many of the better preschools in our area require they be potty trained first
