    Can I file zero with two dependents withme having an itin number?
    I have an itin number can I claim my two kids as dependents using my itin number they are u.s. citizens

    Negative.

    Under special withholding rules issued by the IRS, foreign workers can claim, at most, MARRIED status with TWO allowances, even though the children may be U.S. citizens by birth.

    This is done to ensure that sufficient funds are withheld for income taxes.

    The states, however, have no such restriction.
