Ok we have a 1979 dodge truck and the battery won't stay charged.. we bought a new battery , wiring harness , voltage regulator , and an alternator what else could be wrong... it will crank but you have to keep the switch turned all the way over and the starter has to be unplugged to stop it from running when you turn off the truck

The alternator to the 1979 dodge truck won't charge could someone tell me what the problem could be
