    Maytag dryer keeps tripping breaker
My Maytag Ensignia electric dryer keeps tripping the breaker, 2-3 times with every load. It feels like the dryer might be running a little hotter than usual. What might cause this? Is it something I can fix myself? Thanks.

If it's possible, could you check the nameplate for the amp rating. The nameplate is usually on the back of the dryer. Then the amperage of the breaker that is tripping? Post those here.

It's possible the dryer is too much for your circuit, and may need a new, bigger circuit ran. It's also possible the breaker may be old and has gone bad.
