I had sex with my fiancé ten days ago and the condom burst twice! Thing is I did not figure to take Ec (emergency contraceptive) pills as I had finished my period 5 days earlier and thought I was safe? Could I be pregnant cz I am having all this symptoms but then again I could just be ovulating or having what they call an imaginary pregnancy? Any insights?

At this point it would be too early for you to be experiencing symptoms and also too soon for a test to be accurate. Best thing to do is wait until you expect your next period and if it doesn't show, take a test then.

Hey justcurious? Thanks a lot. Will do. I think I might just be "over-worrying" or something. I was late on my last period and I am just hoping I did not mess up my safe days count.. As I have had a regular 28 day cycle,but either way I do not use the safe days option I always use protection. I just opted not to take the pill this time (after the condom burst) as it gets me really sick! But yeah I think I will wait till the next time I have my period which is the 22nd of Dec and if nothing then I will rush for a test! If I cannot wait that long, as I am a really impatient person, would a blood test work.?. like if I was to take one on the 17th? I had the unprotected sex on the 4th. I don't know as much about the blood tests. I know they are accurate sooner than a hpt, not sure how much sooner though. If you had a blood test done, you'd have to go to a doctor anyway and they would be able to tell you before you came in.
Have you considered other forms of birth control? Just in case any more condoms break. You mentioned that the EC makes you sick, that might be from the high dose of hormones in it. A low dose pill might be more doable. And then there's non-hormonal methods too. Like diaphragms and spermicides that you could use. And you could still use condoms too with any of them just to decrease chances of pregnancy even more.
