Can I use a Echo PowerBlend 2-stroke engine oil with Toro Snow Blower?
My Toro snow blower needs a 2-cycle oil engine oil to be mixed with gasoline. As per their manual, "Use Toro 50:1 2-Cycle Oil (Fuel Stabilizer Added) or an equivalent high-grade, NMMA TCW 3-certified 2-cycle oil. To prevent engine damage, do not use automotive oil (such as SAE 30 or 10W30) or fuel mixed at the wrong gasoline-to-oil ratio"

I have a bottle of ECHO Premium Two-Stroke Engine Oil that I use for my Echo Leaf blower. As per the descrition "Echo Power Blend Two-Stroke Engine Oil is manufufactured specifically for Echo and meets and exceeds ISO-L-EGD- and JASO M345/FC standards."

    1. Is a 2-Stroke the same as 2-Cycle?
    2. Can I use the Echo 2-stroke engine oil with my Toro snow blower?
    3. Should I be paying attention to the certifications? Toro says use a "NMMA TCW 3-certified 2-cycle oil" while Echo oil "meets and exceeds ISO-L-EGD- and JASO M345/FC standards"?

    Please advise.

    Thanks,
    K

    Hi,
You are referencing another name brand two cycle oil that will work for the first reason, and Echo will stand behind it when mixed per recommendations.
    Peace,
