I have an older model TV that only has a coaxial cable input

Chances are you will need to do it in the following way:

Coax line from wall --> into satellite box.

Coax line from box --> into VCR.

Coax line from VCR --> into RF modulator.

Coax line from RF modulator --> into TV.

Yellow/White/Red from DVD player --> into RF modulator.

RF Modulator -- You can find these at just about any electronics store, and is usually around $20. These take a composite signal (the yellow/white/red RCA cables) and change it into an NTSC cable/antenna signal to be picked up by your TV. There's usually a switch to choose to output on channel 3 or 4, just like your VCR and/or satellite box probably have.
