Noncustodial parent relocating, can the custodial parent refuse to meet me half way?
I am recently divorced, in the parenting plan we made for GA it states each party must meet halfway, she is now telling me that only applies to 100 miles and since I moved to FL she is only willing to drive 50 miles. What do I do? Is the 100 mile distance issue really a law? It does not state 100 miles in our parenting plan nor divorce decree.

The agreement is for the location you were living at , when you made that agreement.

If you were 30 miles apart, she agreed to drive 15 miles.

You moving , yes she can refuse to drive, esp when you moved out of state.

You will have to go back to court, but since it was your choice to move further away, I doubt that the court will force her to drive further than she was when you lived in state.

No there is no law that limits how far halfway can be. This is a function of your agreement. As Chuck said its based on where you lived at the time the agreement was made. If you moved just a few miles more it might not be an issue, but moving out of state means YOU changed the circumstances and she is within her rights to agree to drive only as far as she would have had to when the agreement was made.
