Any way to collect back support from ssi recipients?
My ex is 30000 and counting behind in child support ordered 200 a month since 1996 for 2 kids. Last year he started getting SSI. I was told I am out of luck, I cannot collect, it just keeps adding up. Child support says they're hands are tied. They won't even hold him in contempt or pull his license. Their must be something I can do. I find it hard there is nothing anyone can do. He has had jobs in the past, not for long. He lives off the gfs. He doesn't see the girls. He has been in and out of prison. My huspand supports them and his and our children. HELP
