What happened to the sensitive clingy guy??

Well I put in a question but it did not post sorry,
I have not been with my x in a year because I left due to his anger issues. He has received help with his anger issues and is now on medication for it as well. I still love him we were together for 4 years. I am now dating a wonderful man that deserves my full heart and open mind however I can not seem to stop my feelings for my x and I do not know what to do.
My new guy treats me like a queen is very caring and would never disrespect me like my x did so why is this so hard for me to move onto?
