Can i deduct the tax withheld on my 1040 in line 62?

You include taxes withheld as shown on your 1099-R on your From 1040 line 61, "Federal income Tax withheld from Forms W2 and 1099." Add up all amounts shown on all W2's and/or 1099's that you receive and put the total on this line. You aren't actually deducting this amount, but rather showing it as payment already made to the government (which mathematically is BETTER for you than if it was merely deduction).
