    Texas bank levy
In Texas, will I be served with a writ of execution before my bank account is frozen for a debt, or will they just surprise me one day? Had a default judgment filed against me in Texas. Alleged debt is for $50,000. I make too much to file bankruptcy. My employer mandates direct deposit. What can I do to protect my wages once they are deposited?

No you will have no prior notice, one day you will get notices that all of your checks are bounsing and that there is a 0 balance and you owe 100's in bounce check fees and have to make good a lot of bad checks.

So yes, they just surprise you.
