I had a very nasty virus on my computer this morning, it has now been removed by booting in safe mode and running Malwarebytes.

Problem is, ever since then I get an error on startup that says:

Microsoft (C) Resgister Server has stopped working.

I have googled and can't seem to find an answer for Windows 7, only Vista which doesn't work (been there tried that).

I tried a System Restore as well but it was unable to complete due to an error.
