The best time to take a test would be a couple of days after your missed period using first morning urine, even though this could still come back with a false negative as it just depends on the hgc levels in your body. It does however sound as though your soon to be getting your period as some women experience pregnancy like symptoms when there period is due, this could be the case and because your worrying you are mistaking it for pregnancy.
