    In-hom smart start unit
I have an in-hom breathalyzer for taking breath samples three times a day. During the final test of the day, it read 'viol'. I am not sure why this happened. I went back and was reading through the informational pamphlet I received and it said to walk away from this was admitting guilt. I quickly took the test again about an hour later and it showed 'pass'. Could there have been a contaminate which caused this? How does it go from 'viol' to 'pass'. Does anyone know what this device checks?

I do drink vinegar on a daily basis since I am trying to loose weight, which supposedly help boost your metabolism. I think that this might have caused it, but I am unsure.

I am freaking out now because I am afraid my po will think I was drinking. Has anyone ever come across this happening before? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

    Hello m:

You're right. The PO WILL think you were drinking. It's not the vinegar, though. Vinegar doesn't have alcohol. But, UGH - drinking it...

If they violate you, and you weren't drinking, you need to defend yourself. I'd hire a lawyer. There IS, obviously, a problem with the machine, and it's going to take a LAWYER to make that case at your hearing...

All the times it violated me it was because I drank one too many right after my last BAC test! Lol. I had a cool P.O. that didn't violate my probation though =-p You just got to time your drinking better! Rule of thumb for someone around 150lbs is you gatta give yourself one hour for every drink. If you got 10hrs between checks then you can only have 5 drinks right after you last check! c'mon people! Tell the truth! Your PO isn't around!

    Hello J:

We don't tell people how to BREAK the law here... Maybe her timing isn't as good as yours, or maybe her PO isn't as cool as yours, or maybe she'll get drunk and kill somebody...

In any case, your advice SUCKS!

PS> You should know, that if I ever catch you drinking and driving, you'll WISH the cops got you instead of me.
