    Hearing Annoyance
I'm having trouble hearing in my left ear. If I plug my right ear, my voice sounds more high pitched (like a little girl talking in a fan). This has happened more than once and I've noticed that draining out my ears help. I've seen the doctor and she says that everything looks fine but if it's bothersome, my other option would be ear surgery. I don't want that. Any advice or ideas on why this happens?

Ask your Doc about ear tubes... just like they do to youngsters. Worked for me!

Did it hurt and how much did it cost you? What are the consequences if I decide not to go through with this procedure?

Doesn't hurt (a wee bit). No cost to me... I live in Canada (free medical coverage)... Had a ton of ear infections prior to tube being put in... none since. Can be done in Doc's office if he's an ENT Specialist. Good Luck!
