First settler's where? This site gets people from all over the world and there's been people settling all over the world for centuries and then some.

If you mean the US, a relatively newly populated place in the world, it was settled first by Asians walking across to what is now Alaska during the last ice sheet (when the sea levels dropped as much as 400' in places). Those became what we call Native Americans. Who came first from across the Atlantic and mingled with them is still a dispute, since there might have been some who were only on one boat from any given area, and even DNA evidence might be too small with our present technical knowledge. (But it's pretty certain that it was way before Columbus.) There's even possible evidence about sailors from across the Pacific such as from present day Japan - again, in small numbers, landing south of the border, and it's unknown when.
