    Citizenship laws of parents
    I am american citizen from birth and I am pregnant by an illegal what is the laws on citizenship for my baby and the father who is illegal. We are not married and the baby will be born in the u.s.a.

    The baby will be a citizen, the father wll be illegal still.

    Baby born in us he's a citizen but the father is not unless you get married or he takes the citizenship test ah sorry forget the technical terms for them hehe

    The answer stated that the child would be a citizen, but the father not. The father would have to marry a citizen or apply for citizenship. Seemed clear to me.
