I have been denied a public defender because they said the household income is too high, I can't afford to hire a private attorney so what can I do now. Need help asap court is 12/27/10. Ty f.y.I I live in NY state. I'm facing a Felony charge as well as 2 misdemeanors.

You can appeal this to the judge, but they have their guidelines, many people do not qualify for a public defender,

So you need to try and find one who will let you make payments, or start working on your own defense
