A musical animated movie of a Russian? Fairy tale?
I think the band America did some of the music, but it involved a boy I think. The animation was inspiring to me as a child. I want to say it was East of the Sun and West of the Moon, but I'm not sure. It involved this child going on a quest and I remember these Horses that had long flowing manes and their physical details were very delicate. I'm sorry this is vague but it's been many years since I've seen this. The clothing of the Maiden in the tail is of Russian origin with the long gown decorated intricately an the headpiece she wears is also distinctive.
