OK so my friend katie has a boyfriend and they date on and off and I really like him so the first time I sent him a pic of me ha said I was really hot. And just about a week ago he told me that I'm really ugly. I don't understand this at all. What does this mean please?

It means that your friend's boyfriend was shopping around, and then a week ago he got serious about your friend. It also means that you aren't being a very good friend to Katie.

First of all he is your friends boyfriend lay off
Second, if he says you are ugly then you are dodging a bullet with him you need someone who really appreciates you

He probably regrets telling you that you were hot, for whatever reason and he's trying to cover it.

Most guys I've found tend to like to say everything they can to make them seem unattracted to a woman.

He probably does like you but just doesn't want to admit it.

Either that, or he's really self centered.
