What is the length of the deck belt for a 12/39 Lawn Chief?

Are you sure that the deck is 39"? That would indicate an old Noma product, but to the best of my knowledge MTD got True Value Hardware's (the holder of that brand name) business when they purchased General Power.
A 38" would make sense.

Thank you for your response. It is an old mower. 12/39 is printed on the side of the mower. The blades measure 19.5 inches. The shredded belt appears to be 36 + inches. I am trying to determine a more accurate measurement. Any help you can offer will be appreciated.

Hi,
For the most part all 39" decks used one of two belts; 300680 (5L x 77.75") and 319005MA (5L x 81").
I have no idea how you measured to arrive at the length you came up with.
