I DETEST the word "real" in relation to parents. ALL of your parents are real--unless you have some imaginary ones?--including your adoptive parents, your birth parents, your grandparents, your step-parents (if you have any)--whatever. ALL parents are "real".

As far as looking for you BIOLOGICAL mom and dad--how old are you? When was your adoption?

May I ask you why you would like to find your biological parents?

I myself was adopted and have an interest into the minds of others who seek bilogical connections!

AT 16, the only way you are going to find anything out about your bioligical family is to ask your adoptive parents.

My husband was also adopted, as were two of his siblings. My husband and his brother recognize their adoptive parents as their only parents. My SIL, on the other hand, wanted to find her birth mother, she did, and it was a tragic outcome.

What you need to realize is that you were adopted for a reason. These reasons along with severity vary greatly but in either case it's usually a situation where you're better off adopted. ( I know in my case it was). Is there something happening where you feel the need to see/talk/find your biological family?
