I have a friend that was on probation and was supposed to be finished on the end of October. Part of his probation was to do 16 days of comm service. He did all the days except 1 and it was suppose to be waived. Around 1 November a warrant was issued for the one day according to the warrant. He was arrested on Nov 18th while getting off work and put on probation violation hold. What are the chances of bond or release?

Not good. They don't give bond to probation violators... However, if he can prove what he told you, he didn't violate his probation at all. He need to present evidence at his violation hearing. That'll be BETTER than a bond.

Most places do not bond out for probation violation, so they will most likely be in jail till the hearing.

At the hearing all he has to do is prove the one day was waived by providing documents that say this.
