How do we disconnect the controls for the compressor to run the air handeler/heat?
I have a janitrol a30-08, the compressor shorted out.
The compressor died last summer and we have not got it replaced. I want to disconnect the compressor and use just the air handler and heat. I have a cut off on the outside and one on the inside next to the air handler.

Turn the power off to the outside heatpump. Switch the thermostat to emergency heat. The heatpump is now out of the equation and the electric heat inside the blower section is now stage one heat. Get ready for a high electric bill.

I don't think this is a heat pump. Outside breaker is off, but when it is off the air handler will not run.
