Stopping birth control, missed period after
I was on the birth control pill for three months, and on the third pack I began spotting about two weeks before I was due for my period. After stopping the third pack, I got my period, as usual. I did not continue with the birth control pill, however, since I had very bad symptoms while on the pill. I was prescribed another kind of pill, but wasn't going to take it. I was due for my period on November 17th, but have yet to get it. I've taken three pregnancy tests, all are negative, but I'm still extremely worried. Especially since my nipples have become sore.. which I know is a key signal for a woman when she's pregnant. My boyfriend and I used a condom each time, and checked to make sure they didn't break. Even though I was only on the pill for three months, is it enough to mess up my system for me to have a delayed period? Can you provide any insight for me about what could be going on?

When you stopped taking BC pills, you changed your body's hormone balance, and your symptoms are not unusual. If your period doesn't start by December 17, you should talk to the doctor who prescribed the new BC pills.
