The ground is hot on my plugs why?
When I test the plugs the long and short only give me a .01 reading but when I test either long or short with the ground part on the plug I get a 120 reading what's wrong?

The ground is not hot, the live is and your testing to the ground using it as a reference.

The neutral is opened, fancy word for loose or broken connection.
