Im about to trade my car an Annual Rental property
Im selling a car for $9,100 and I was about to sign a yearly rental agreement for $700 for 12 months; when the landlord saw my car and told me he will trade his annual rental for my car, valued around the same amount of $$$. Is this legal? What about if he dsnt continue to pay his mortgage and I already paid him for those 13 months and we get kicked out by the bank or something?? What kind of legal document should I get to cover me and my family. Should I get an attorney involved?

    PLEASE HELP

Then get it in writing and get his signature and get it noterized so if he don't come through you can go through court

First please understand getting a notary to witness a contract being signed, does not make it anything special or more legal, it only proves who signed it and is like a professional witness of the agreement.

What you are doing is "selling" you car for the value of the rental.
And you need to do this with a years lease, in writing.

But there is no protection if he does not pay the mortgage and the property is foreclosed. You can include in the contract that if he gets foreclosed, he will owe you the amount of month rental to pay for the car.

Or hold a lien on the car for the value of the rental, and release it only at the end of the year lease.
