I am 23 years old and I have been experiencing pelvic pain for over 2 months now. Sometimes it is more prominent on the left side, other times it is central and vague. I have increased vaginal discharge that is yellowish. Orgasms really hurt, not just intercourse. I am in pain every day. My doctor first suspected that it was an STD or infection but every test came back negative. He told me that my cervix was very inflamed and that there was a lot of discharge. He did a pap smear, the results of which have not come in yet. I am going in for a colposcopy in 2 days. My doctor has no answers for me and I need help!

Sadly I'm no doctor either but I can offer you a few suggestions. Since you do not have STDs have you tried asking your doctor for an ultrasound just to see if your ovaries/uterus are in working order as on a few occasions a cyst has been known to cause these symptoms. At times when a patient is not displaying common symptoms, doctors have to run A LOT of tests before they have answers for you so hang in there and be persistent! If this doctor is not willing to go the extra mile then seek a 2nd, 3rd, 4th opinion. What you are going through is not normal for anyone to be going through so remember that we are here for you.
